Soft Switching High Step up Isolated SEPIC Inverter for Photovoltaic Application

Abstract


Nowadays photovoltaic cell is one of the most important way to extract  solar energy when  extracted power from solar can be directly converted  to electricity by photovoltaic cell. In this paper, new soft switching inverter based on SEPIC converter is presented. Component count in this inverter is low and high voltage gain ratio is provided. High voltage conversion ratio is provided by high frequency transformer, so losses is lower and inverter is more efficient than other previously  introduced inverter. Thereby by using transformer system overall efficiency is improved. Also, a soft switching circuit is introduced for proposed inverter which provide ZVT condition for it. To make it suitable for connection to ac main, the output voltage of the inverter is adjusted in such as way that have peak of 310V. All operation mode of the proposed converter  will be discussed and the simulation result for it will be presented.
