Challenges of Tangible Cultural Heritages Conservation in Debre Tabor and Its Surrounding

Abstract

Debre Tabor is one of the ancient towns in history of Ethiopia which has significance tangible cultural heritage resources. The main objective of the study was to assess the challenges of tangible cultural heritages conversations in Debre Tabor and its surrounding. Data was collected through questionnaires, observation, interview and secondary data. Descriptive techniques were employed for data interpretation. Many resources were identified as potential attractions for tourism development, but some tangible heritages are being underutilized. Thus, rescue the heritage sites from further deterioration and use their potential in sustainable ways.
